In force as from 1 March 2026. GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl reserves the right to amend these terms at any time; the applicable version is the one in force on the date of booking.

1. Purpose and scope

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern all services offered by GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl, Route de Jussy 35, 1226 Thônex (Switzerland), operating the brand Takamaka Genève (hereinafter “Takamaka”): outdoor activities, team building, seminars, corporate parties and entertainment, stag/hen parties, games rental and event services. Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

2. Quotes and booking

Each service is subject to a personalised quote, valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the signed order form, marked “agreed” (“bon pour accord”). This must be accompanied by payment of the deposit of 70% of the total price provided for in Article 4. Unless otherwise stated, the price includes supervision, specific equipment and the organisation of the activity; it does not include transport, accommodation, catering or drinks.

3. Prices

Prices are stated on the quote, in Swiss francs (CHF) — or in euros (EUR) depending on the quote —, with taxes in accordance with the regulations in force. They are firm for the validity period of the quote. Any additional service requested during the organisation will be subject to an extra charge.

4. Payment

  • Deposit: a deposit of 70% of the total amount is required at booking to confirm it.
  • Balance: the balance is invoiced after the event and payable upon receipt of the invoice.
  • Payment method: bank transfer.
  • Non-payment of the deposit: if the deposit is not received before the date of the event, Takamaka reserves the right to cancel the service without compensation.

5. Numbers of participants

A minimum and maximum number of participants may be indicated on the quote. The final number must be communicated to Takamaka 10 days before the service at the latest. After this deadline, if the order form states a price per person, the number of participants indicated at booking will prevail. Any person registered but absent on the day of the service (no-show) remains payable.

6. Cancellation or modification by the client

Any cancellation must be notified in writing (e-mail to info@takamaka.ch). The following conditions apply:

  • More than 30 days before the service: 20% of the deposit is retained.
  • Between 30 and 10 days before: 50% of the deposit is retained.
  • Less than 10 days before: 100% of the deposit is retained.
  • Postponement: Takamaka will always offer, as a priority, to postpone the service rather than cancel it. The deposit is then retained by Takamaka and carried over to the newly agreed date, subject to availability.

7. Cancellation or modification by Takamaka

In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, force majeure or for safety reasons, Takamaka may have to cancel, shorten, postpone or modify a service. In such a case, Takamaka offers a choice of: a postponement of the service with the deposit retained, or a credit note of an equivalent amount. The decision to maintain, adapt or interrupt an outdoor activity is at the discretion of the supervisors, who are the sole judges of safety conditions. Where a fallback solution (“plan B”) is provided, it must be confirmed 7 days before the event at the latest, unless otherwise specified by us.

8. Physical fitness, health and age

Some activities require particular physical fitness and may have a minimum age or contraindications (heart or back problems, pregnancy, etc.). For water activities, being able to swim is essential. By booking, the client and the participants certify that they are fit to take part in the chosen activities. The participation of minors is subject to the prior authorisation of a legal guardian. The consumption of alcohol or other substances is prohibited before and during activities involving a risk.

The subscriber undertakes to make known and have approved, by all registered participants:

  • these general terms and conditions of sale;
  • the insurance conditions and any other document provided to them.

9. Safety, supervision and instructions

Entertainment activities are run by professional hosts; sports activities are supervised by qualified instructors, all holding professional civil liability insurance. Participants undertake to follow the safety instructions, to wear the equipment provided and to behave appropriately.

The supervisors may refuse or interrupt participation for one or more participants for any justified reason (physical unfitness, risk related to physical or mental health, non-compliance with safety instructions, dangerous behaviour, etc.). If a participant disregards this refusal and nevertheless takes part in the activity, Takamaka accepts no liability in the event of an incident. Takamaka also reserves the right to exclude, without refund, any participant whose behaviour would endanger their own safety or that of the group.

10. Insurance

GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl has taken out professional civil liability insurance with Zurich Insurance, covering damage for which it is liable.

Each participant is strongly advised to have their own individual insurance (accident and private civil liability). Takamaka cannot be held liable for personal injury resulting from the inherent risks of a properly supervised activity, nor for the consequences of failure to follow the safety instructions.

11. Liability

Takamaka’s liability is limited to direct damage resulting from a fault attributable to it. Takamaka is not responsible for personal belongings (clothing, effects, equipment, valuables) lost, stolen or damaged during the service. Each participant is liable for any damage they cause to third parties, equipment or facilities.

12. Image rights

Photographs and videos may be taken during the services. They may be used by Takamaka for promotional purposes (website, social media, marketing materials). Any participant may object by simple written request to info@takamaka.ch, before or after the service.

13. Complaints

Any complaint relating to a service must be sent in writing to info@takamaka.ch within 15 days of the service, so that it can be dealt with under the best possible conditions.

14. Data protection

Personal data provided is processed in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revised FADP) and the GDPR. To find out more, see our Privacy Policy and our Legal Notice.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Geneva, subject to appeal to the Federal Supreme Court.
